Large and highly decorative vintage wooden model of a traditional three-masted sailing warship, presented on a substantial rectangular wooden display plinth.
The model is particularly striking for its elaborate construction and dense level of detail. It features multiple decks and rows of gun ports with miniature cannons, three tall masts, numerous fabric sails, extensive hand-rigged cordage, bowsprit, anchors and detailed deck fittings.
The aged cream-coloured fabric sails, weathered wooden hull and intricate rigging give the model a strong historic maritime character. Unlike smaller souvenir ship models, this is a substantial decorative display piece designed to command attention in an interior.
The vessel is mounted above a moulded wooden plinth, allowing the hull and rigging to be displayed prominently from all sides.
It would make an excellent statement object for a private library, office, study, reception area, restaurant, hotel, maritime-themed interior or collection.
