Vintage three-dimensional heavy cast resin relief depicting “The Night Watch” (Die Nachtwache) after the famous 1642 painting by Rembrandt van Rijn.
The plaque recreates the celebrated composition in pronounced sculptural relief, with numerous individually modelled figures, period clothing, weapons, flags and a drummer. A metallic bronze/gold-toned finish gives the resin surface the appearance and visual depth of an aged cast-metal artwork.
The lower front is marked “Rembrandt” and “kop. Müller”, identifying the work as a Müller reproduction after Rembrandt rather than an original work by the artist.
The piece is notably substantial and heavy for its approximately 32 × 20 cm dimensions, giving it a solid decorative presence.
