Vintage Carved Hardstone Gemstone Flower Arrangement in Stone Bowl

Striking vintage decorative floral arrangement handcrafted from polished and carved natural stone.

The composition features multiple dimensional flowers in peach/orange and translucent white stone, surrounded by large circular mottled green and dark green hardstone leaves. The flower centres are decorated with small red accents, while additional translucent stone buds extend above the main arrangement.

The individual stone components are mounted on wrapped and shaped stems, creating a three-dimensional botanical display. The entire arrangement is set into a heavy polished green and purple-mottled stone bowl, finished with decorative pale stone chippings around the stems.

This style of ornamental stone flower arrangement is strongly associated with Chinese decorative hardstone work and became particularly popular as an export decorative object during the 20th century.
